Friends Calendar of Events ~

The Friends operate a used book store that is housed in the Olmsted Library Complex located at 210 E. Corunna Avenue in Corunna.  Hours are Wednesdays from noon until 5:00 p.m. ; 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Dar's Beaded Book Danglers for book lovers are currently on sale for $5.00 in the Bookstore. 

 

Gift baskets for Easter are now available in the store.  The baskets contain a gently used book and gift items. 

Prices range from $5~$20.

 

 

 

 

Gift baskets may also be made to order for any occasion. Phone Carole at 989-743-4366 to order baskets for birthdays, new babies, congratulations, illness, engagements, anniversaries, holidays, etc.

 

Used book sales are typically held in May and September.  Various other fundraisers are held throughout the year.  Check with the bookstore for upcoming dates.

 

Spring Bake Sale and Gently Used Book Sale:  A used book sale and bake sale will be held on May 21st ~ May 23rd.  Gently used books are currently being accepted for the sale.  They can be dropped off at the library during normal business hours.

The Friends of the Community District Library Corunna/Caledonia Branch meet on the third Tuesday of each month at the Corunna/Caledonia Township Branch (except for the months of July and December) at 9:00 a.m.
 

The purpose of the Friends is to promote the general welfare of library activities by creating public support for library programs, provide financial assistance through fund raising, encourage gifts and endowments to the library, and to encourage volunteer help in the library.
 

Membership is encouraged and open to all.  There are no fees for membership in the Friends.  Those who are unable to attend regular meetings, might consider volunteering for a fund-raiser, making contributions or providing financial assistance for used  book sales.

 

The Friends is a 501C3 organization.  Therefore, monetary contributions are tax deductible.
